EDUCATION BACKGROUND

Joyce is a law graduate of The University of Nairobi with a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She was admitted to the Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya. Joyce is also a Certified Secretary (CS) having qualified with KASNEB.

EXPERIENCE

Joyce’s main area of practice include Tax Advisory and Corporate and Commercial Law. She has over six years’ experience practicing tax and has previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers whereby she gained substantive experience and exposure. As an advocate she has competence in legal and tax matters focusing on;

• consulting and advisory,
• tax compliance reviews,
• tax due diligences,
• KRA audit support,
• custom matters,
• tax compliance,
• exemption applications,
• tax lobby’s and matters at the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

She also has competence in advising on corporate restructuring, generally giving legal opinions on various legal issues.
